When you are a student at CEC we continually work with you on your goals to keep striving forward. While taking lessons you can learn from Western to English styles of riding. Including but not limited to: Barrel Racing, Speed Events, Extreme Trail Course Riding, Trail Riding, Basic English & Basic Jumping. The focus for every students lesson plan is to teach them techniques to becoming a safe and effective rider no matter what style of riding.
What you learn:
Beginner Riders Learn: Proper grooming, tacking up & down, care of tack & grooming tools, basic care of the horse, to lead a horse, proper mounting & dismounting and the basics to proper riding form and riding techniques. All in a safe and fun atmosphere!
Intermediate Riders Learn: Mechanics and psychology of the horse while developing a better, more fluid seat and ease with the horse.
Advanced Riders Learn: How to expand their current knowledge of riding and ground skills to achieve a deeper understanding and communication with horses.
At CEC Rates:
Private lesson (1 person): All first lessons are private and 3-4 private lessons are recommended. $35/hr
All year Private package: 6 lessons for $200. Regular price $210
Semi-Private (2-3 people): After 3-4 lessons this is where most students feel comfortable. Or if you've already been riding for awhile, semi-private lessons would benefit you. $30/hr
All year Semi-Private Package: 6 lessons for $160. Regular price $180
Group lesson (4-5 people): Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced riders. $25/hr
No package rates offered with group lessons.
Travel Rates:

Hey, Cassie here. Hope you all are enjoying this unburrrrrleivable winter we are having. We CECers have been outside training, giving lessons and hanging out with our horses in just jeans and a sweatshirt during the beginning of January. I personally have rarely said, "Burrrrrrrrrrrr Im cold". Usually it has been, "Whoa, Im sweating!". No matter the weather we all have been very busy this winter. We offer almost all of our amenities throughout the winter, so don't be shy to give us a call to schedule something.
Lessons this time a year are a perfect way to stay in shape, get ready for show season or to build a lasting bond with your horse. No matter your reason, any of our instructors or staff are always happy to help.

Want to lease a horse?
We offer a comprehensive and affordable program of monthly leases and half leases. Leases are designed to allow clients all of the benefits of horse ownership without the large financial responsibility. This program presents the opportunity to develop a relationship and bond with a horse that is not normally possible when just taking lessons. Young people benefit both from the responsibility of taking care of an animal and the self confidence gained by achieving their goals. Adults benefit from the stress relief that horses can provide and also from the limberness and physical conditioning obtained from regular riding. Riding exercises all major muscle groups and is weight bearing so its good for bone development. Leasing is also strongly encouraged for aspiring riders as a way to help develop the muscle strength needed to truly hold a safe and effective form while riding.
What is involved:
Leasing a horse means that you do not buy a horse, do not have to feed, and do not need to buy tack. You just need to love horses and have a desire to learn! No matter what level of rider or physical condition, we have a horse to suit you. Every effort is made to make sure that you are matched with the right horse. We want you to have a horse that you can enjoy and learn from.
All equipment is supplied with the lease, including saddles, bridles, and etc., at no additional cost. Farrier and vet care are taken care of unless something happens to the leased horse due to the mistreatment from the leasee. 1 lesson is included per month with all leases. The lesson may or may not be private. Lessons when a horse is leased are $25 for semi-private or $30 for private.
A half lease allows the rider 1-3 days/week with the horse. A horse that is half leased may have 2 people leasing the same horse at the same time.
· Half lease Prime Season (May-August) - $170/month
· Half lease Off Season (Sept-April) - $150/month
A full lease includes full use of the horse 7 days/week. Full leased horses have only one leasee.
· Full lease Prime Season (May-August) $210/month
· Full lease Off Season (Sept-April) - $190/month
*All horses are used for lessons and have a pre determined schedule. Please check schedule or talk to Cassie to determine the availability of your leased horse. Leased horses reside at CEC during lease contract unless other arrangements are made between leasee and CEC.
